Is money a little scarce for this event? Some guys with 2 wins get less than 15g or do these guys regularily race for peanuts ?

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

They regularly race for peanuts, which is a shame, cause its more entertaining than winged racing. Wish I coulda been there...

I attended three of the races. Untill seeing this I assumed the purse would be similar to Eastern Storm, I guess not. What struck me there is that attendance even with many coming from far away was about what a good weekly show in Pa. draws. Another thing was the lack of women and kids there, the crowd was mostly men and older guys at that. My wife made a remark about the support division one night and said one of their mothers might be listening. She said that is not likely with few women here their mothers and wives must not even come. My thoughts were that this not make the future of sprint car racing in Indiana look good.

All Sprint Week shows are the base USAC purse.  5,000 to win, 1000 for 4th, 725 for 10th, 500 to start, 150 for non-qualifiers.  Total purse is $21,450 for 22 car field.

Floracing on PPV is the cheapest of them all and shows ALL USAC events all year long, including the 9 for Indiana Sprintweek as well as the 5 Midget shows this week in PA.  Well worth the money, side by side racing most of the time and a proper invert of 6 not fastest car to the front, heats are worth seeing.....

Floracing is a tremendous deal, you get a ton of USAC, and most of the DIRT Big block modified tour.

" What struck me there is that attendance even with many coming from far away was about what a good weekly show in Pa. draws."..... really? I've been to a few ISW races & attendance seemed a lot better than WG weekly races. A guy on Indiana Open Wheel website listed 32 different state license plates that he saw. I met a couple that comes to Indiana from England 3 times every summer for wingless races (of course a few diehards don't= a big crowd....)

As for crowd demographics, I agree its older in Indiana, more overalls & John Deere hats (plus the only time I've ever seen a guy packing a gun on his hip a sprint car race... whats he worried about???) At Kokomo, the "new" backstretch bleachers seem to draw a younger crowd & more women, Better view & breezier too...

I agree on crowd size. The Tri-State crowd was massive from what I saw on Floracing, bigger than what the Outlaws get when they go to Tri-State.

The InDiana Speedweeks shows probably could pay 10k to win based on the interest from those events alone, however like w Pa and Ohio, these races are likely the most profitable of the year (outside of a big Outlaw show) because of the packed stands and mediocre purse.

Anecdotal observation is not a scientific way to support an opinion; but it is the world in which we live.
