Had my first visit to Bridgeport Speedway in New Joisey for USAC Eastern Storm. Pretty cool track, surprisingly rural for a few miles across the Delaware River from Phunky Philly. 3 concentric tracks... 5/8. 3/8 and 1/4. Sprints raced on 3/8. (Overheard somebody making the tongue in cheek suggestion that they run 2 races at once... that would be crazy... why not 3? )
I had some time to kill between Grandview race & B-port, so I went to the Simeon Foundation Museum in Philly.... amazing! I know most of the folks here aren't really sports car fans (me neither), but this place has some of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen, plus lots of history (racer from 1910s, well over 400 ci, and 40 HP... low compression, I guess. Then a decade or so later they had 2.3 liter supercharged cars putting out Big HP. Check out this link & click on some of the cars. My fave was the 1958 red Ferrari Testa Rosa: https://www.simeonemuseum.org/the-collection/
