Hard to imagne posting a video of a wreck where the driver is knocked out cold and lays on the ground for over 15 min because ASCS has no amblance on site but they don't show that. Yet they wanted extra saftey bars in car but no amblance? Something is wrong IMHO!

Looks like another unsafe race track. The guy flipped cage first into what looked like cinder blocks to me. Another time where a proper catch fence would have been better.

Eco blocks are the worst thing to make a wall out of. They move when they get hit hard, and they are all sharp edges. I touched one once with the RR and it sheared all bead lock bolts, grabbed the rim, tore it in half and bent the axle. All from a light touch coming off the corner chasing the cushion. Cost savings for track owner, cost me a shit load of money.

Most race series require an ambulance to be at the race track. Apparently the ASCS Elite series does not.

I'm surprised insurance companies allow this to happen.

I can not speak for this situation but many tracks have rescue trucks or track ambulances that are staffed by paramedics on race nights and that meets insurance requirements. In most cases track ambulances can not transport an injured person so all they can do is stabalize the person and wait for a real ambualnce to arrive to transport the person to the hospital. This is very common for local tracks and traveling series.

ASCS continues to lead from behind! A couple quick examples...
- First, they inspired the 305 classes by catering to a few well-funded race teams, by allowing the costs associated with their engine platform to spiral out of control, which ultimately drove away their regional guys.
- Most recently, they were quick to adopt the WoO's new cage rules (a hedge against unsafe racetracks), but don't even require an ambulance to be present at their sanctioned events!?! Is this for real??
Do they actually give shit about the sport and or their supporters?
And before you answer that question, let me say this, actions speak louder than words!
People should be flipping out about this! How many Wolfgang's and Hodnett's does it take before the organizations that lead our sport, like the ASCS, take notice?
How many 2018's is it going to take????
Btw Emmett, facts don't care about your feelings!

Excellent post and you're exactly right about ASCS. They had a very good thing going and screwed it up. Engines used to be cheaper and now there's little difference between 410s. The only selling point for the 360s is longer time between rebuilds. They should not have let that happen. And I agree with your statement about 2018, and organizations like ASCS and WoO should not be racing at tracks like this one until they correct the issue with crash walls and fencing.
