He is one super-bright businessman and was prior to Smoke buying the team, a top-shelf race team owner. He and his wife are for the very most part, what is called "new money", self-made millionaires. And he is comfortable wearing jeans as his daily wardrobe, never putting on airs. Also, got the W.Fargo track up and going again, putting a ton of money into it but sadly not with the result he and Fargo race fans were hoping for. I could never figure out why a metropolitan area of W.Fargo,Fargo,Moorhead with 200,000 people could not/would not support racing other than a thousand people a nite, still to this day.
Hoping and praying for him and his family in this tough time. Will light a candle or two for him at church Sunday.

I also was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer 14 months ago, and still going. Outlook not good but have exceeded docs expectations. A lot to do with attitude and I'm sure Danny will take this head on. Prayers to the Scahtz family for strength and healing !!

When I was in the Air Force, I was stationed in Minot ND from '72 to '74 and got to see Danny drive in the NODAK Club there. He was good and he was fast.
Thoughts And Prayers to Danny and his family

Keep fighting the good fight!, Prayers for you also! My doctor told me once that pancreatic cancer is the silent killer. By the time it’s diagnosed it’s usually too late! But also know someone myself that has beat the odds for years, so you never know! Have a friend battling cancer right now, not fun to watch and see all you go through to survive!

Very true. My sister-in-law was diagnosed with cancer in her liver and pancreas almost 4 years ago. She is still alive although it's looking more and more like she won't last much longer. I had always thought with modern technology that they would find a good early detection test for liver and pancreatic cancer. I've also heard that both types are actually very treatable if found early. The problem is it's nearly impossible to find early.
