I can't wait for this show. I'm thinking this may bring even more cars than the 53 that were pitside on Saturday. I would think that since the All Star schedule is done by this point, plus maybe guys from the midwest who didn't or couldn't tow in, do so. And maybe, just maybe the 39 has a driver or a healed driver by then. I can't wait to get back to my comfy seat. And very happy they did a rain date for the next day. Kudos Port and WoO.

I was gonna post a thread on this as well.  I've gotta feeling, call me crazy, that this thread will be filled with sensible comments only and not people losing their shit over this because, well you know WoO is the evil empire and stuff (sarcasm obvi).

Anyway, it's awesome they got a make up date, a WoO sanction (in my opinion), etc. They get dealt a crap hand with the weather and were able to accomodate a makeup and keep a sanction. They were able to KEEP a $51,000 to win show so kudos to that.  People who will nevertheless moan about the WoO sanction, again they were able to keep a $51,000 to win show and bring in the highest profile sprint car organization.

Say riddle me this batman.

You are ready to sit in your nice comfy seat.  How will two of you fit?  The track started to sell WoO seats on August 22nd, reserved seats.  So I am sure some of the seats have been sold twice.  Maybe you can alternate heats and every 10 laps of the feature.

All seats purchased for the Oct 27 Outlaw show will be refunded so no issues with that.

Read Port press releases much?? Guess not. I'll just let you figure that out. I'll be in my Tuscarora 50 seat as I was Saturday night. But thanks for your concern.

The WOO sanction will add 12 WOO regulars but will take away alot of the locals that dont run WOO shows,or already called it a year.

The top five All Stars will most likely stll come except maybe 10H since fe struggles so much in Pa.

Wonder if Tony will run since he dont run WOO shows?

Hope they keep the format the way it was scheduled and not just a glorified WOO show like the Grove.

And give two provisionals to the All Stars maybe then all will come.

What a bunch of f'n bullshit! The great thing about the Tuscarora 50 was that it was NOT just another glorified WOO show. Why not just have it this Sunday since the All-Stars are already at Selinsgrove instead of waiting another month and a half when it could very well be 30 degrees or lower outside? I wasn't planning on attending either WOO show and I sure hope Port does the right thing and refunds those of us with wristbands/reserved seats from the original T-50 date! I don't know why Port wants to bow to the outlaws and screw over the all-stars and locals.

What about those with reserved seats from the Tuscarora 50? I didn't spend my money to freeze my ass off watching an outlaw show in late October. I don't really give a shit about the outlaws to be honest.

Heard on Winged Nation today that Rico is coming East for the 4 Crown Nationals and the Grove, but the Gold Cup in Cal is the week of Octiber 20 so all the guys coming East for the Finals can still make the Port weekend.

Over 100 cars entered in the Gold Cup sponsored by Rico and Ruedeen Racing think Little Freddie is also entered.

So it’s the same format with a much better field. So instead of seeing Lance win by 4 seconds, you might see some actual competition. Only in Central Pa......

You can get a refund for your Tusky 50 purchase since it was a complete rainout this past weekend from what I understand. Unfortunately, this Sunday can't be used as a rain date because it's Selinsgrove's rain date. It is what it is.......

I bet you will find the this is a financial decision.  I bet they didn't sell as may outlaw tickets for the 27th as they wanted to at this point. They can use the money they already received for the 50 and not have to pay the outlaw purse on Saturday.  Yes, I know they are paying more.....but they should already have the money for the 50 since they already tried to run it.  I wish they could have run the 50 another time other than with the outlaws. This takes a high paying race away from the locals.

Yes, I like the outlaws.  This was billed as an all star race not a woo race.....I am not sure how I feel about this.

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

This is all silly fake news from a very vocal minority.

Every time the Outlaws come to Central Pa (outside the occasional bad weather forecast) they have an excellent crowd. It literally makes zero sense to run it any other time in October. Perhaps the best thing would have been to run it this or next Sunday, but other tracks have big races and rain dates too.

The All Star season ends on Oct 6, so probably wouldn’t have been All Star sanctioned anyway if you ran it on oct 20.

Also, why would you run a huge race the weekend before the Outlaws come, that would likely hurt your crowd for the Outlaw weekend which you’ve already committed to.

This was the best decision for everyone involved.

I am surprised Port did reschedule the Tuscarora 50 to the outlaw race.  In my opinion they are losing a high profit night.  They went from having two hopefully profitable nights down to one.  I think Strawser26  is onto something with maybe the outlaw wasn't drawing as much fan interest as expected.

I myself liked the Tuscarora 50 when it was unsanctioned and a draw race.  The last unsanctioned 50 drew 46 cars and what did the All Star sanctioned Saturday night race have 47.  Why pay any sanction fee?  Put that money in the purse and help the locals that support the track all year.

I feel bad for the locals that it is now even harder to make the race and earn a good payout going into the off season.

The outlaws have trouble drawing fans?  Since when?  Been to outlaw shows in 7-8 different states and never seen a lack of fans or support.  JMO

PR is making the best of a bad situation

By the way, I got a full refund from Speedshift, without even asking...

I'll definitely go if I'm in the area

Some of you folks are too picky... you're lucky to have so much racing in Pennsyltucky!

Saturday night there were 53 cars pitside my friend, not 47. I would be they get more on the new date. And do tell why it is now harder to make the show aside from better cars. The format is the same as it was going to be on the original night, it is not a WoO format Saturday night, only Friday night for the Nittany Showdown. But again, you'd know that if you read any of Port's press releases.
