I'm hoping he will bring a motor that will run an entire feature and remember to hook up the HANS

He's not running the 3 car, he's running Justin Henderson's former ride, the Thone Motorsports #83.

I would say its probably the best equipment that runs with the IRA (on a semi-consistent basis). I know they run Speedway motors and the cars themsevles are top notch
Real race cars don't have fenders...

I know it doesnt really make much of a difference...but I'm a 'numbers' guy. I hope the put a big ole 1 on the side of the car. It just seems weird to see Sammy in any other number.
That car started as 94, then went to 59, then 83...so another number change shouldnt be a big deal

Don’t think that’ll be an issue. Thone has always had top of the line, powerful motors.
Wouldnt be surprised if Sammy takes a liking to that ride.

I guess you enjoy your colonoscopies.... I've seen Sammy beat the Allstars the last 2 summers!
I actually woke up before the medical procedure was finished one time, got to watch on the monitor... actually quite interesting to see your innards!

I was at an IRA race in Wilmot some 8 or so years ago. Sammy ran the #1 Hepfner Racing Products car that night (and won). I love that Sammy will hop in a ride and go true outlaw from time to time. I love all the guys that do that. I know he's older and maybe not at his peak, but he's great at proving people wrong. Watch for that Thone car to surprise a few folks.
Funny story about that Wilmot race, I had a little jag on walking through the pits after the show and saw the Hepfner guys headed our way. Without looking at them I said louded enough so they'd hear, "If it was my car I'd have had Steve Kinser drive it!" The look I got was priceless. Had a fun chat with them afterward. Those Hepfner guys are a good bunch. Wish they still had a car running. Todd was a good shoe with lots of potential.

The HRP 1 ran a couple times last year, didn't it?
And I agree...I was on the fence about Angell Park, but with Rico and now Sammy (especially Sammy in the Thone car), I'll be there.
