Damn it sucks to get old. My new boss is 3 years younger than my daughter, and now Sammy Swindell is soliciting a ride for Knoxville on Hoseheads press releases.
Somebody's gotta have a ride - or a 410 or two for him

Us old guys never lose confidence in ourselves...everyone else does. Someone may step up and I hope he finds something competitive. I'm all for Sammy representing the AARP crowd.

Sammy still has talent. To secure a ride he will need to have a very large sponsor package to bring with him. Enough $$$$ most teams can find an additional car to run.

I still have talent as well but it's in napping and working the remote. My hearing heels didn't fall off yet but I owned up to being old at 65. I remember an old drivers series on TNN where Sammy showed him his property and commented that his investments allowed him to retire in the future. Either his 401k took a beating or he found the fountain of youth. If it was the later I would be interested in purchasing a bottle. I wonder if he sells that water at the t-shirt trailer.

Stan, I think this is the proof you needed that you are old.
Kidding of course.

I'm the exception to the rule with tech. I run a Linux network in my home, do multi track recording, digital SLR photography, layered graphics, steam races through HDMI and cast from my phone to TV. Most son to be 67 year olds struggle with computers, I build and hot rod them.
Unfortunately all that tech experience does not make it any easier to post to Hoseheads while sitting on the shitter in the men's room at work. Problem will be solved at the end of the month when I set the example for Sammy by calling it a career.
