I watched the Jokers Wild at Eldora last night. Great coverage! I noticed like everyone who watched that they had cameras in use that were mounted to drones. I thought what a way to get some great camera angles and views of the action. I'd like to see DV experiment with those. I could sure see a drone shooting the start of a race overhead and in back of the lineup as one example. Some of the early intro shots had some amazing shots showing plenty of race track, and not so high or far away that racing action couldn't be easily followed. Anybody else notice that? Any thoughts or ideas? Maybe fan input and/or ideas can help better the coverage.

Agreed, can't recall exactly but it might be Eldora's equipment that allows for it. I feel like I saw it on the All Star race from Eldora in July.
I was a tad bit worried at the start of the night, had some buffering issues in hot laps and was hoping the increased viewership for a Crown Jewel show wouldn't overload the backend, but they cleared up quickly and the rest of the night was flawless. I feel like Dirtvision may be the biggest sprint car (or even dirt racing) story of the year in the longterm. What a fantastic effort and great value they've provided.

I had buffering up in Minnesota at that same time and checked connection strength and speed and no problems on.my end. I stream from a laptop.to a 55" tv through an HDMI cable by switching to the tv instead of the on board display. Whenever I have to log out and back in I have to get up and walk across the room. The lap cats were pissed.

I had the same issues. The only time Dirtvision hasn't worked for me this year was on Saturday of Knoxville. I lost from the last restart on, so I hopped over to Race Monitor and followed there.
If I could time travel and tell 10 year old me what I was able to do to follow a race from Knoxville, my head would have exploded.

A few years ago CBS Sports used a drone while filming the WoO race at Devils Bowl. They got a lot of cool footage. I believe there's a youtube video out there that shows a few minutes of it.

That's what I'm talking about. And even on the race video the fixed cameras seem to be placed higher and further away from the action, which actually captured more action. Personally, I don't need the close up of just two cars, I'd rather the larger view, even though the cars appear smaller. It's really no different than being at the track 20 rows up.
