KYLE LARSON’S OUTLAW KART SHOWCASE PRESENTED BY BRANDT® RETURNS TO CYCLELAND SPEEDWAY

Cornelius, NC (June 13, 2018) - BRANDT® Professional Agriculture® has united again with NASCAR star Kyle Larson to offer the highest guaranteed purse in Outlaw Kart racing. The fourth annual Kyle Larson’s Outlaw Kart Showcase Presented by BRANDT is set to return as a two-day extravaganza on Monday and Tuesday, September 3 and 4, offering a $35,000 total purse for the three divisions with $6,000 to the winner of the Open Division, at Cycleland Speedway in Chico, Calif.

“I’m excited to have BRANDT return for the Outlaw Kart Showcase. They are a big part of my World of Outlaw sprint car team, and the Showcase is where the relationship began. BRANDT has a big presence in the California agriculture industry working with growers to improve the crops on their farms. They are first-class organization with knowledgeable professionals out in the field. BRANDT has a significant presence in motorsports, at both regional and national levels, and they just add to the stature of the Showcase,” said Larson.

Once again, the Outlaw Kart Showcase will include the Box Stock and 250 Intermediate outlaw karts. Preliminary events for all three divisions will be contested on Monday night, with feature events on Tuesday night. Also on Monday, a special Open Division Feature paying $1,000 to the winner will be available to the top 20 karts from qualifying.

As usual, drivers from all over the country are expected to compete at the event. 165 total entries were received last year and Larson expects 2016 and 2017 Open winner Logan Seavey to be the favorite on the list of possible winners of this year’s edition. Also anticipated to return is 250 Intermediate champ Caden Kvapil and Box Stock feature winner Trevor Grimes.

The Cycleland Speedway Box Stocks are now using a new engine package from Briggs and Stratton. If any out of town racers would like to either purchase or rent an engine they will be available from Cycleland promoter Lowell Moural. Please notify Moural at least six weeks prior to the race to purchase or rent a Box Stock engine. Moural will be available to reserve engines or answer any related questions at 530-624-7431.

Instructions for event entry are available at www.OutlawKartShowcase.com. Entry information, as well as rules, race format and information on sponsorship opportunities will be posted on the website.
