Yup, unless someone buys BMS it's really going to kill Sprint car racing in the upper Midwest for weekly racing Knoxville and Jackson can only have so many big  $$$ shows. As far as the 82 the shop is not closed as far as racing???

Yup, Chuck sure did a lot of good for sprint car racing.

Anyone know what the BDS car is doing this year or Justin Henderson? That's two big question marks I haven't heard anything about.

BDS is Running full time ascs with Travis Rilat and Skylar Gee and Robbie Price If memory serves me correct. 3 car team

From the schedule I seen on his FB page shows  he is driving for the same team as last year #83 and running alot of IRA Shows

I believe the only true BDS car is Rilat's. The other two are their own teams with backing from BDS.

The BWW #82 owners probably got tired of all the bitching about who they put in to drive their car and moved on to golf or some other sport to spend their money. The negativety of the sprint car fan on the internet sure would make me think twice of being a car owner.

I dunno. I bet that race car drivers and race car owners have pretty think skin. I don't think any prospective driver or owner decided to stay away from the sport based on what a lot of anonymous folks on the internet thought.

      More realisticaly, the BWW car's future has everyhing to do with God's gift to dirt tracks' inability to run a race track operation causing the two local tracks to be sitting idol.

I really hope this isn't the case. And would think, as business owners, they have thicker skin than to get upset about people's online comments. 

Mostly disappointed we don't get to see Dusty Zomer in a ride.

If this is true, thats too bad. I like all the guys involved with the team and have been a friend of Zomers for quite some time. With that being said, I have said for the last 2 years that I wish the people that were being bitched about, would prove a point and give everyone something real to bitch about. All these guys did was get flack about what they are doing, and now that they closed up, the same people bitch that they are done. "They should have thicker skin" they say. In most cases thats true, but cmon guys, its been like going to highschool. About mid way through 2016,  when everyone had a bitch about badlands, I said I wish he would just up and close. Lock the gate and not open it back up, with no explanation. When he did that, everyone was bitching he closed. Sad fact of SD racing, is nobody can ever be happy, its always personal, and it has made me ashamed to be apart of the SD racing community honestly. Now we have 2 places sitting idle, and everyone is still bitching. We bitch because we dont like the guy who came in, continue to bitch about everything he does and has done, and now bitch because we have nowhere to race. Get it together guys, The racing community as a whole, even though they weren't the sole cause, played a big part in the decline of racing in SD, and its sad that nobody can actually see that.

Hopefully the BWW team did not close shop, and I wish them well in whatever it is they decide to do for 2018!

Robbie is in a BDS car , MY stuff is at home and we are currently looking for a driver.

While I understand everyone is disapointed Badlands is closed, we still have a lot of great sprint car racing in South Dakota at Park Jefferson Speedway, just a quick little 60 minute drive south of Sioux Falls.  $10,000 to win South Dakota Sprint Car Nationals on April 27th-28th and $5,000 to win 410 National Hangover one week after Knoxville on August 18.  Couple that with a $2,000 to win 360 show, weekly RACESaver Sprint Cars and a handful of 360 weekly shows.

Honestly I think most people that were getting in that ride would of known how Todd decided, who gets to race. So it should've of been no suprise if you weren't racing that weekend. 

Same with Chuck. I think most people knew what the potential was with saying F you to the world, and wrecklessly throwing around money. Short term sacrafice isn't worth killing the long term goal. I don't like talking about this over and over again so I'll stop. But I don't think too many people are suprised what's going on in SF rights now. 

I too, hope that Todd, and Susan, continue to support sprint car racing in whatever capacity it may be.

The critisicm on here is nothing compared to some of the Pro sports boards I check out sometimes.  Fan is derived from the word fanatic, some people take eavy little thing very seriously.  Can't knock them for that.  Put yourself in the public eye and expect to be scrutinized.  Sports in America.

As I recall it, a good portion of the criticism of the BWW car had mostly to do with bouncing from driver to driver. I think it's been proven that it takes some patience to get a team rolling with consistancy and success. I don't recall anyone out and out bashing the car's potential. I think everybody agreed the car was fast and nobody wanted it to go away.  And as for Husets/Badlands, those of us that were critical of that deal simply had our eyes open and could see the writing on the wall. Even those things that could have had a positive affect on sprint car racing in the area were done from the standpoint of "look at me"......"look what I can do" and "screw the rest of the sport". That is not a recipe for success.
