Chico no longer has a 410 points division. Correct me if I am wrong, but there are no tracks in California that have a weekly 410 division.
Only King of the West/NARC traveling show left.

You are correct, I really dont think going to 360's is going to make a monumental differance in the program, maybe for the first half a season it will seem good, but the 360 cars have lots of racing options, and I really can't see Friday nights working that well at a track that is anything but centrally located. Its going to need a strong purse to attract cars that far away on a work day.

It needs promotion and a real live promoter. With that the money will follow, then the purse and spiffs, then the cars and teams, and lastly the crowds. Theres a University in that town and granted schools out during summer months but believe me there are a lot of students there year round. Ive asked students on campus and they didint even know theres sprint cars racing there all summer. I spoke to two student s from Ohio who are Winged fans and they never knew sprint cars ran there. Needs a promoter period, until then its on its ass.

Oh, please. Anyone who lives in Chico and claims not to know that there is auto racing at the fairgrounds is lying, deaf or spending every night in a noisy bar. You can hear the cars all over town, including on campus. Any sprint car fan would recognize the sound in an instant.

If there's not a new promoter soon, you won't hear them standing at the fair grounds.

when i first started coming to chico in 99' i lived in the NW. chico became my "home track" for many years, coming to many more events here than in the NW. Hopefully someone will take over SDS and turn it around and do it in a mas rapido manner. jmo

I agree with you, it's not like there's a poster for the races anywere for them to see. The ChicoER covers the races for free and does a good job, but the track not going to spend any $$$.
I think this is the promoters LAST year.
