Is Lunesta any relations to Dave Lundstra? Or is the Lunesta team some low budget team I was not aware of? Either way, I hate to see any team fold. I just find it odd that a team would fold due to a track shutting down. Still lots of places to race in the area.

In his post he said he is shutting down to spend more time with his wife and kids. The track closing was just another reason to make the decision. Cant blame him one bit for it. Its been a pleasure to race against those guys.

Name spelling optional. Gave a lot to the sport during his time. A bunch of highway miles, Sioux Falls to Grand Forks to Knoxville weekly for along time. Never met the man, saw his cars race a long time. Never heard a bad word about him. Best of luck and thanks for racing.

Dear dipshit,
Dave lunstra has fielded a car long before Chuck Brennan was involved in Husets, I'm sure if you read the rest of the article you would have noticed there were a multitude of other reasons for ceasing operations, but sure go ahead and spew that it's all Chucks fault because obvously these guys are making a living racing at Husets and now cant put food on their table. I personally think Chuck is an ASSHAT but in the same token the people on here saying Chuck ruined everything are equally as big or larger asshats than Chuck.
With that said CONGRATS to your first post on hoseheads, with the knowledge you have shown on I'm sure you will provide a wealth of value to everyone else on this forum.
Regards, Keyboard Jockey
P.S. I hope you get your dick caught in the zipper in your pants, but judging by your 1st grade level post your sweatpants probably dont have a zipper.
Cheers!

Since you edited your post, aparently you dont like getting called out for blaming everything on chuck now only part of it, my opinion above still stands.
Also thank you Dave for all the time and money you have spent in sprint car racing, your fans appreciate it!

Sorry... Corrected the spelling (autocorrect).
Let's be honest... The track closing is the first reason stated in the release. This has caused them to have to travel more.
This is no way a knock on Team Lunstra, my favorite team and driver to be honest.
We all see what's going on with the decisions CB had made and the impacts its having a cross our region.
That's all I was trying to say. Sad situation. For all.

Lunstra Motorsports has decided to cease operations of a sprint car team for the 2018 year.
With our local race track closed, traveling has meant less family time. The kids are growing and becoming more involved in their own activities and competitive sports. This has often meant going different directions on the weekends and less time together. We refuse to put our hobbies above our children. A time will come when they will no longer want to hang out with mom and dad.
We believe that this is the perfect time for us to reevaluate and do some things that we have always talked about but could never find the time to do. That does not mean that you wont see us at a race track supporting the sport that we love.
We want to thank Tim Kaeding for honoring us by driving our car the last three years. We want to thank everyone that has worked on our car, especially Craig Boll, Gage Bader and Nate Gardner for all their hard work and dedication. We could not have been as successful as we were with out the support of our many amazing sponsors, you are truly appreciated.
A special thank you to our friends, family and fans for supporting us throughout the years. We have made many great friends on this journey. The sprint car world is truly an unbelievable place.
Sincerely,
Dave and Jaime Lunstra

The key phrase I have focused upon "less family time" If the gentleman and his wife have opted to cease operations predicated upon the desire to be good parents, who cares about the rest of the rhetoric.

Back with Roth for 2018
|
Roth already anounced Cory Ellison in the 83 and Kyle Hirst in the 83jr. Doesn't leave any room for TK

Were the Lunstras involved with a different driver before Mark Dobmeier?
