I am guessing roughly 20 cars per division....think I am close?

35 SSN Racesaver Sprints (one, the point leader, lost an engine in hot laps, and another driven by a rookie, hammered the front stretch wall hard enough to break EVERY THING in the rear end so only 33 ran heats)

24 SLMR Late Models

20 WAR Wingless sprints listed for heats (although I think only 18 ran heat races)

Overall a pretty good show, races started at 7:30 and we were done before 10:30.

Damn good show overall,  the 305s put on a much better show than I thought they would....having more than a full field sure does make for better racing.   SLM's were very entertaining but it is very odd for me to see Steve and Joe Kosiski's kids running their daddy's paint schemese, especially since they do not posses their father's skills yet.     WAR seems to be a well run series and was really the reason I drove 8 hours.   Hopefully they make more ventures west so I can see them again in 2018.

Eagle never disappoints,   hat's off to track prep guys for as close to perfect for each of three very different divisions as one can expect.

The track conditions have been really, really good the last 6 weeks or so.  I'll be honest I wsa expecting it to slick off pretty quick last night with the hot, dry weather we've been having and three classes that can suck the moisture right out of it, but it never did.  In fact I'd say the bottom was a little too good, but I'd rather that than dusty/ rubbered up.

Bump, If you liked that little taste of the Racesavers you should really come out for the Racesaver Nationals next year.  They put on a Hell of a show for 3 nights.

Overall I thought the LM's did a really nice job last night.  Even after all these years Kyle Berck still has Eagle figurred out.  He was on a rail.  The previous time we had LM's (it's been maybe 4 years?) it was all they could do to not hit the wall every lap.   I don't think there was a single intact spoiler or right quarter after the A feature.  I'm just super happy we didn't have to tow any of them last night.  LM's are a pain to hook!

This was my first time seeing the WAR series, and yeah I'd agree; they put on a good , professional show.  Our own Terry Richards put on a show all by himself.  That was only his 6th ever wingless start, so to start on the pole and lead most of the race, and bring home a 2nd place finish was pretty cool.  I know he wanted the win, but he was pretty happy with 2nd.  I'm hoping the series gains some attention, their car count grows, and that we see them back around here more frequently in the coming years.  My only knock is that we had very limited radio communication with them, which slowed down our response a couple times.  Not really uncommon when a touring series races with us, but for whatever reason it seemed worse last night with them (maybe because they didn't have any officials in the infield with us).

Thank you guys, appreciate the support.  We were excited to get our POWRi/WAR Sprints up to Eagle!  We definitely try to run a clean and professional show, and will work on the communication with the track staff for the next one.  Always a little different situation from track to track but we will fix it.  Appreciate making us feel welcome!

We know that the first go-around with any series at a new track always has it's ups and downs, but we are confident that we can remedy those and put on an even better show next time.

Thanks again for bringing non-winged sprint car racing back to Eagle Raceway!!!

Casey,

You have done a great job of upgrading the WAR sprint series.  Looking forward to seeing more of your shows.  The only down side, is that I don't get to see you in a race car much anymore.
