Anyone know what Stever Kinser does with his time now that he has retired as a driver. Is he involved with Kraig's car at all?

From the looks of him with Schatz's crown at the Kings Royal, I'd say he doesn't miss any meals.
Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

Tad off subject, but is Kraig the only 410 WINGED sprint car running a DRC Chassis? I'm pretty sure he's the first 410 winged sprint driver to win in a DRC.

I believe Brandon Matus runs one on the All Star tour. But to the best of my knowledge Kraig is the only driver to win with one Winged.

When I spoke with Steve and Interviewed him at Grandview last year as he announced he was hanging it uo, he mentioned that he wished he;ld taken physical fitness a little more serious back in the days and if he had, he likely would contonue to race. But that his weight and such was hurting the cars performance and set-ups to where he knew basically it was too lagte to get serious about it now. He also mentioned how he would continue to help Kraig, but that he had some other things he wanted to invest in and get involved with outside of racing as he knew his legacy was always going to be racing, but that he didn;t want to throw all his money into the sport once done. That he;d invested soo much over the years, that now he could finally try and get involved with some stuff outside of the sport for his and his family's future. So it sounds like he was content and looking forward to the next chapter of his life

Trust me, weight control is not easy when a person gets into their mid 60s. I will be 66 next month and know the battle first hand. Knees and hips don't like jogging 3-5 miles a day like I used to and metabolism slooowws dramatically. You'll get your turn if you hang around long enough.

Haha, agreed Stan. Though your metabolism usually starts slowing (at least meaning you can actively notice that it has slowed and you need to adjust your diet) around late twenties to early thirties. I've always been a health nut and athlete and I noticed it around 30. Have always eated healthy, but definitley have to continuously adjust diet, portion size, etc. it seems with each passing year (and I'm only 35...)

35 is a breeze compared to 65. To put I in perspective my youngest is 32 and three of our kids are 40 and older. Folks need to go easy on the king. His dad filled out as he got older and we all inherit our body type from our parents.

A DRC chassis won an All Star event at Hartford, Michigan , in either 2002 or 2003. It was owned by Kasey Kahne. I don't remember if Kasey drove it that night or someone else was in it. I was at the event.

First DRC win with a 410 was way back in 2002 with Kasey Kahne.

Also, keep in mind the day to day life of a racer is much like a trucker. Terrible sleep cycles, sedate road hours, truck stop, race track, and fast food all day long for 40 years. Yes, some are blessed with a metabolism that can eat fried food, smoke, and drink and be a shell of a man with no teeth, etc. at 70. The fact is 90% of USA males cannot eat this way all of their adult life and not have this result. I will say the toll of being in the heat all day AND night through the hot summer months should burn some of that track food off, but I am no expert and in the same boat. The man gave his entire productive life period to turning left for our enjoyment and to satisfy his own internal addiction or he would have quit and worked the meager jobs we all do.

you guyys talk about steve packing some extra pounds. remember his dad raced for quite a few yrs with that extra weight in wingless cars. seeing steve's pic, he may have his father by a few pounds and just doesn't fit anymore. Does anyone know, Does he travel with Kraig or is he pretty much hands off ?
