Delbert Smith Leads NCRA Late Models into 81 Speedway This Saturday Night!
Park City, Kansas – August 27, 2017 - Veteran Delbert Smith will look to continue his domination of the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products crate late model division this coming Labor Day weekend Saturday night as the tour will make yet another appearance at 81 Speedway in Park City for the “Ed, ‘Big Eddy’ Borecky” Classic.
Smith has won five of the six events that have been held thus far this season on the 2017 NCRA crate late model tour and with his weekend sweep of 81 Speedway and Thunder Hill (Mayetta) Speedway two weekends ago, has moved tied for fifth in the career series victories. He currently sits tied with former series late model champion Larry McDaniels with eighteen career victories.
Two-time and defending tour champion Chris Kratzer has the other lone victory on the tour, his second career Hutchinson Grand Nationals victory back in July, and sits just 40-points out of the point lead. Dusty Leonard, Danial Smith, Jimmy Segraves, Lauren Dauer, Adam Popp and Dustin Bolster are drivers who have made all six events.
Other late model drivers expected include Jeremy Bishop, Jeremy Petty, Damian Patocka, Kip Hughes, Rob Day and Lyle and Robert Shepard.
The NCRA crate late model division will be just one of the four NCRA divisions that will be competing at 81 Speedway on Saturday night for the “Ed ‘Fast Eddy’ Borecky’ Classic.” Grandstand admission is just $15 for adults; seniors and all military $13 while children ages eleven and under admitted into the grandstands for free. Pit passes are just $30 for all adults. Gates will open at 5:00 PM while racing is set for a 7:00 PM start time.
