I want to thank everyone for chatting over the last couple decades. I figure I am close to 3000 posts because I was unchevy for a good while before minthess. I wish everyone well and am glad for all of you that truly enjoy what our sport is. With NASCAR's money and terrible ethics permeating sprint car racing so badly, it's just not good for me to be here any longer. With my beloved Ford officially announcing a "Ford" engine for TSR and then simply putting stickers on the car, the perfectly acceptible lies are just too obvious for me to take. With average small block chevy worshiping Tony taking his dirty NASCAR money and buying his own car to compete with, a sanctioning body, the best race track and the dominant national team, anything real was over before it ever started anyways. Take care. All the current BIG DOGS, and I mean that literally, that think they are something can't carry Casey Luna's mud scraper.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

I would like to see all engines allowed in sprint car racing,I think it would be good for the sport . The Idea would be similar ASCS in that engines could be built to a set of guide lines that could allow other Man. Engines to be used . I realize that the small block chevy is the base for todays WOO motors. How come no one wants to try other engines in the past there been brief attempts at using , Mopar , & Ford . I realize with that other engines there is an added cost but look what happened when ASCS allowed Ford to Race under their banner , why was Ford Engines removed from ASCS , also Karl Kinser had a Mopar program as well as other Racers and it went away as well . Remember the Engine Dont Know what Name is on the Valve Cover. Do drivers need 900 ++ HP ??? .

Ford engines are alive and well in ASCS. Only difference is Roush quit building them. They were no more expensive at the time they were first introduced by Roush than a quality Chevy like Wesmar, Shaver, etc. You can build an ASCS Ford today and go race.
Mopar backed off the factory support for sprint car engines. You may want to look at Chrysler's history and being bought out and also dropping out of Nascar for the big picture on that move. An economics degree would help. There are still countless Mopars running every week around the Country.
Sprint car owners are simple people, I are one. Forum folks make way too much of the motor branding issue. We buy the most reliable HP we can afford. There's a whole lot more to running a car competitively that doesn't have anything to do with the bolt pattern on the bellhousing.

Yawn, I hope you stick to this.
Seriously, I have no problem with anyone having a preference in engine/chassis/tire/whatever you want, but the never ending stream of drivel is old and annoying. Posting about it on Hoseheads will never get anything accomplished. I don't know enough to know if this is even close to the big conspiracy you seem to think it is but given that there are few others who dare go Minthess level, I doubt it.
I don't give a shit what is under the hood of the cars I'm watching - I want a safe and entertaining race. If you want to get a hard-on over the engine, go to the dyno or dragstrip.

This is great news!! Most of us prefer those who enjoy racing and want to see it progress! You stepping aside from your snivelling and whining about engine brands and Nascar money will be a very welcome sight! Even better, since you have put on your last post, we can say anything about you and if you are a man of your word, you won't respond. Even better. (unless of course a new "mystery" responder shows up to defend you)
I, for one, could give a crap about a sticker on a car, where the "dirty" money of Nascar comes from or any of the other mindless garble that spews from your keyboard every week. I enjoy going to the races and certainly appreciate when wealthy car owners--regardless of where the money comes from--attempt to give back to their grass roots. Whether it be owning or sponsoring a team, purchasing and improving a racing facility, getting back in a sprint car or simply showing up and being a recognizable face at the races.
So, farewell and thank you for no longer tainting this message board.

I like everyone on here that brings their unique and sometimes ridiculous perspectives. I assume this post is tongue in cheek and you'll come back with a new name the way Altman did. Haha

Hang in there. I'm a Ford guy too, but not into banging my head against a wall about their place in sprint cars

I doubt this is your last. You can change your name and no one will know. TSR will have Fords next year. Ford has been slow getting new woo aprooved heads castings done. Ford is paying TSR which is what will bring the Fords into 410 racing, and that is what you want. Right? I did not know Luna mud scrapper was that heavy. Has he not heard of titanium?

I just flashed on Tricky Dick saying to the media in early 60s, after losing an election in California, "You won't have Richard Nixon to kick around any more".... few years later, guess who's President?
