There never is. And they do it on purpose. And I completely understand why. For what it's worth, it appears the scoring will be live on race monitor tonight, so anyone will be able to follow along in real time. Anyone that hasn't checked out race monitor yet, I highly suggest you do so now.

Solid night so far, nearly 10pm and we're still running 305 heats. But at least the announcers are trying to get us to sing 30 year old Billy Idol songs to pass the time.

Unbelievable race. It made all the waiting worth it in the end.

Kudos to the McCarl's and everyone involved with the Front Row Challenge. The 410 A-Main was awesome. I heard several fans indicate that the show gets drawn out and I say BRAVO! If you local track gave away the prizes to drivers like the Front Row does, your show would be longer. As a former team partner I would be so thrilled to receive the free items that heat racer winners received. The companies and individuals who give these prizes and money deserve recognition, I believe this type of promoting and sponsor involvement is what our sport needs. I saw the owner of Country Builders reach into his pocket and pull out 5 $100 bills for Pittman's quick time, have you seen that any where else this year. I also believe the extra $$$ added for the 305's was like a treasure trove for those teams and that adds a little time to the program.I was home in Eastern Iowa in my own bed by 1am and I was very happy.
I would like to THANK all the contingency sponsors for their generous donations to our sport. I couldn't begin to list them all. I also want to thank the Mahaska County Sheriff's office for their work and I didn't see one incident in the pits that there were needed and I saw them go out of their way to have their pictures taken with fans, especially the little kidssss.
One last thank you goes to whoever decided to allowed two ways out of the infield, it was great and there was little congestions for those of us heading East.

I am usually the type that likes the races to be done somewhat early (gives me time to hang out in the pits, drink beers, or get on the road) but the FRC is the one race I can see going late. It's a big old party, the week of the nationals. I assume most people that go to it are not working this morning. Looking forward to attending some year. I've seen the track during the day and it looks big and fast. And real round!

Spot on, and they do it without some overpriced crop management company telling them how to do it...The BEST and MOST FUN show of the week.... Big box track should figure it out instead of wasting their money on trying to take it to the next level..

Wish I wasn't working this morning :/ What a race though. Worth the late night. Track prep was the best I've ever seen at Osky and I have been to Osky hundreds of times. As for the track being round, yep pretty much the largest sweeping corners out there. Mod drivers tell me its faster than Knoxville but I'd love to know what a Sprint driver thinks.

I think it's great that Terry rewards the drivers with the extra prizes and I don't mind dragging out the show if the weather is not a factor, this race is just an all good event and good time for all. I could help but crack up when I saw someone post about the Snow shovel Tim Kaeing received. WTF is he going to do with that living in San Jose? I bet he trades it for a case of beer this week LOL

Helluva race! Great action and fantastic finish. Thought Larson was gonna pull off a heist there at the end...
Btw, what the hell is with their burgers?? My brother came back with one and its loose ground beef mixed with cheese whiz?? That thing was a crime against humanity.

Their nachos are putrid too! They put the salsa or cheese on way in advance, giving it time to soak into the chips & making them soggy....

Sounds like you guys need to try the pits next year and grill out! Not the best for spectating though. You win some, you lose some.

Indeed. My tone wasnt even that of complaint, it was more like "What the hell is this??".
I always heard the infield was a bit of a bear to get out of afterwards... Either way cop central (Hwy 92) was out in full force again. I followed a guy back to Knoxville doing about 50, but I didnt dare pass him because of the lurking Iowa stateys....

It can be a bear to get out of the infield at times, but this year was not problem! Two lines of traffic leaving and if you know your way around the fairgrounds there are other gates to get out through if they leave them open. Most don't know where they are or simply don't try them In case they are shut. Got right out. As for the concessions it's the norm for their weekly IMCA show. Not a fan of their cheese for the nachos or really the loose meat hamburgers so I always eat before coming weekly. I brought in sections of scaffolding one year to the infield and could see great but then the FRC put an end to the scaffolding... As for the state troops that's pretty a normal annoyance rolling from Knoxville home to Osky for any bigger show so it doesn't surprise me that they do it for he FRC for the traffic back.
