I've been thinking this for a few weeks now and I'll say it here. Lucas Wolfe and Danny Dietrich are now the top 2 drivers in PA hands down. Lucas and the 24 have been really fast the last few weeks and have been fast all year. DD is a close 2nd behind Wolfe but he needs to improve at WG and Port first. Wouldn't surprise me to see these two 1-2 in the speedweek points this year

How do we know if DD will even show up?!  The last couple weeks he says one thing & does another. Ex. Not running Friday, shows up at Selingsgrove.  Be at Port doing double duty, no, taking the 13 car to Ohio, na, go to Lincoln.

hey baby ears... ear muff it he gave an explanation as to why they did what the did. I will bet the farm he runs all of PA Speedweek. I am a yuuuuge DoubleD fan and wanted to see him do double duty at port but understand why they didnt. I still enjoyed the races. Just go to Path Valley amd hope for the weird bounty instead if anyone makes a last lap pass its only if they pass Danny!!! Fake Money up for grabs. He should boycott that dump.

Dietrich is fast, but I don't see how you can put him ahead of DeWease at this point. In Central PA right now its probably:

Wolfe

DeWease

Dietrich

F. Rahmer

That's why many drivers don't put out a schedule at all. Backlash when they change their mind on where they want to run or decide to run elsewhere due to weather. The schedules are tentative for a weekend. Can't be upset at a guy for stepping off the porch to race every now and again. Appreciate the drivers when they're at the races!

I could see DD moving to Fremont or Findlay Ohio similar to Frankie Kerr and running the All Stars & selected midwest races to get away from PA.

Why would he do that?

If Lance & the Dream Team show up, they're the favorites

DD isn't going anywhere. He can run in central pa for purses that are equal if not better. He has a good sponsorship base also. He moves out and other teams are going to be knocking on those sponsors doors. The all stars have a lot of young talent but they are not the WoO. Central Pa has kept many from going on the road that has had the oppourtunity. CP has also brought quite a few travelers in off the road to run here weekly. Look at Lucas Wolf this year, you may see him hit the road for a couple shows but even that is questionable. He found the key piece to his puzzle thats hard to find on the road. Chemistry.

Big difference. Frankie didn't win much in PA. Danny does.

Why?

No particular reason, it just wouldn't surprise me considering how many Posse teams have elected to do their racing elsewhere over the past few years. Brent Marks, Logan Schuchart, Jacob Allen, Ryan Smith, Hunter Mackison, Jordan Mackison, Tyler Esh & Brad Howard all within the past few years have left the porch and I think I remember seeing an article where Brock Zearfoss said he'd like to hit the road some day as well. Central Pa is in an obvious decline. Why that is, is a whole different subject but I think it's a multitude of factors. Too many races, too many half miles, subpar track prep, economic issues, purses etc. are just some of the things I've heard people talking about recently. There must be something to it because we're losing teams left and right.

The cars and drivers leaving PA to run elsewhere IMO is a financial decision, weekly shows in PA are basically paying about $500 more than what they did 20 years ago to win, that equates to about a $25 a year raise. What is the solution? I have no answer really, the racing has become parade laps of follow the leader where most nights if you don't start top 3 rows your chances of winning are less than 10%. The costs to run a car have skyrocketed, you lower the costs and then when traveling groups come to town you don't meet specs and aren't competitive, you raise the grandstand admission so you can offer a better purse and you chase fans away that already feel they pay too much for what they are seeing alot of nights. Any solutions out there? How do you entice new people to come out and become fans? How do you bring back people like myself that follow the sport but seldom go because I don't like the current form of follow the leader racing or the costs for me as a family associated with going?
