Recently got a non down tube chassis the guy I got it from didn't know anything about it. So now I'm trying to fish for info on what I have . I do know it's older just don't know how old it is . I have seen a few markings on it but can't find anything definite . It has stealth rear torsion bars . On the tail tank mounting tabs they have a penguin cut out. Any info will be help full thanks in advance !

I think Stealth had a bird as their logo do it's probably a stealth chassis. I don't think it's a penguin though lol. I think the stealth chassis guy was Australian and the logo was a famous Australian bird. My memory is a little foggy but I'm pretty sure that was stealth

Yes, Stealth always had a bird as part of their logo. Also trying to remember, but it seems they also has a serial number somewhere, I was thinking in the cockpit, maybe the top bar the motor plate mounts to? Not sure on that, but the serial number is how we figured out that we bought a stealth copy from a "trustworthy" dealer back in the day. It was suppose to be the exact same car that we currently were running, and it was going to be a back-up. After calling Stealth cause a couple things did not look correct, they told us about the serial number. I just wish I could remember where it was. Our new car we bought from Stealth had the serial number. The used car we bought, did not.

Ok so after looking all day I did figure out that it is not a penguin lol . It is a kiwi bird which is in fact a resident of Australia. So that would make sense about the guy from stealth chassis being australian so my next question is when did stealth stop with the non downtube? .

I don't think that is an easy question to answer because you could probably still order a non down tube car today from a chassis manufacturer if that's what you really wanted. In terms of serial numbers I've never driven a stealth but I've driven for owners with Maxims, Xxx, Gamblers, Eagles, and I currently run a J&J and the serial number is generally on either the left or right side bar that runs 180 degrees right underneath the steering box mounts. There will either be just a serial number or a tag with a serial number welded onto the bar. Sometimes if it's just a number milled/stamped into the bar it can be hard to see with powder coating or multiple layers of paint so you might have to look hard. Hopefully you find it. Good luck!

I found a picture that will help you with the location of the numbers but unfortunately can't figure out how to upload a picture.

I think I am right, Stealth was owned by same guy that now has Spike chassis best known for midgets but he will still build a sprint car.

Will any other manufacturers bumpers and nerfs fit a stealth chassis?
