I'm planning on going to Kings Royal and first time to Eldora. Can anyone give me some input on seating reserved vs general admission, where is the best seating, getting tickets and camping reservations. Thanks for any info you can share.

I"ve only been once, at the last 4 Crown, & all the seats seemed good. But lots of people were sitting on the lawn above Turn One, & the view looked every bit as good as the bleachers. I had reserved seats, but I think I'll try the lawn chair next time. More comfortable, less crowded

If you are looking for comfort and a good view, try getting what they consider patio seating, rows a1,a2, or a3 in sections D thru I. The seats are nice and wide with backs.

eldora has really good maps and instructions online.
you can reserve camping and seats online. you'll need to register any golf cart or 4-wheeler (i think, i haven't needed to in a long while). there's shiwer trailers normally set-up by north end of the track.
the trick to the seats is the top row is #1. looking at map online, try for front row, "gate 2," anything in rows 1-10, the seats go roughly 1-25/30 if you are looking for an end seat. the start-finish line is roughly section c.
greenville, ohio is the closest wal-mart, larger city for supplies. st. henry and north star have smaller stores for provisions.
the race cars stay in sidney, celina, and piqua if you sre looking to watch crews work. piqua has a movie theater.
I wish Earl still did Eldora's track prep.

Turn 4 terrace are the best reserved seats, BTW I have been going to Eldora since 1966

I have been going for the past 10 years and its one of my favorite race weekends of the year. I highly recommend the frontstreach for seating (we sit towards turn 1). Very little dust, you can see all parts of the track and you are close to concessions, bathroom, beer stand and souvenir trailers. Avoid the turns as you get blasted with dirt.
I would buy Reserved tickets now as they are selling fast. Their website has a seating chart with all available seats. Seems like more & more people are coming to this race each year and the "general admission" seats go very quickly. You are risking either standing the entire race or sitting at the bottom of the stands (obstructed views).
For camping, we reserve sites in the Eldora Village which is directly across from the track. This campground has tons of space and is a short walk to the track. The "Free" camping spots go very quickly and you will be in for a very long walk to the track.
