racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint

Shaver, take it to the bank. Same "bullets" as last year unless World Racing Group makes a quick stupid decision to stick a supped up LS7 with a paltry but claimed 650 HP. World Racing Group would like to do that with the late model series and the sprint car series, same engine for both series, all kinds of protection to discourage builders to cheat, etc. Don't see how it would be possibly next year but would guess after reading an article in Flat Out (or was it Sprint Car and Midget) that this is the route they would like to go to keep the sport alive and healthy. $14,000 for an LS7. They say the 500hp engine is fully capable of delivering in excess of 650hp on alcohol with minimum internal changes. Not direct wording my son has my mag, but they stated the engine would have a "long life", (my quotes) in a racing environment. What's a long life. I don't see this happening, zero chance. 650 HP? No. I remember when GM was considering a twin turbo LS7 for the ZR1 Vette. After an hour of blasting around their proving grounds, the thing caught fire and burned to the ground.
Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

Just curious, but why do you ask? I am assuming you have some sort of alterior motive for the question.

Anyone know about the cylinder heads they use? Schott or Schutt something like that? Just looking at the engine at Knoxville I noticed they were a little bit different.

This will never happen. Teams have all kinds of engines that would become obsolete. What WOO does the local tracks would have to do and the one engine teams could not afford to ash can a $50,000 engine then buy a LS engine. They should do something to extend the life of present engines. Lower the compression ratios and reduce intake stack size as a start. Do not hold your breath on this.

What makes you think WRG wants to do this? Article was written by some guy named "Vahok Hill". Is he affiliated with WRG?
Never hoid of him myself...

Then why ask? I noticed you didn't ask who was building Gravel's, Stewart, KKR's motors? Why just single out the 15?

Nice. Thanks. If it just had smaller injector stacks and grey wheels, it would be perfect

Donny Shatz, the most interesting man in the world, doesn't often build his own motors. But when he does, he drinks Dos Equis.

He's hoping that since Tony's taxicab teams are switching to Ford that his sprint car teams will as well. The usual.....
