Ameri-Flex / OCRS Sprints Close 2016 @ Caney Valley Speedway
Final Curtain Comes Down On October 15th

Tulsa OK (September 21, 2016) - The 2016 Ameri-Flex / OCRS finale will be held on October 15th at the Caney Valley Speedway in Caney Kansas. This event replaces the rained out show last Saturday at the Brill's Motor Speedway in Meeker Oklahoma. BMS and Ameri-Flex / OCRS officials were unable to find a workable date to reschedule before the track closes for the season.

Caney Valley Speedway offered to assist the series by adding another sprint car show to its 2016 schedule. CVS will also host a non-sanctioned / non-wing champ sprint car show on October 8th.

"Mark Brill (of Brill's Motor Speedway) has commitments for the remainder of the season and that keeps him from adding a make-up date at his track," explained Ameri-Flex / OCRS president Barry Grabel.

"Kerry Gorby (of Caney Valley Speedway) was generous to offer another date for us so we could finish out the season with as few lost dates as possible. We are very grateful to have Kerry as a supporter of our series, as we do all of our partners," said Grabel.

The sprinters head to the Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore OK this Friday night. This weekends event is a replacement date of yet another rain out last week (also at SOS).

A tight 3-way battle for the Ameri-Flex / OCRS championship is in full swing as defending series champion Robert Sellers takes a 17-point lead into the SOS event over Whit Gastineau while Zach Chappell sits just 45 markers back.

Southern Oklahoma Speedway will start hot laps at 7:30pm with racing starting immediately after.

Race time for the Caney Valley Speedway event on October 15th is 7:00pm with hot laps starting at 6:30pm.
