The article stated that they have completed their 2nd season with Zomer. They will have Sammy in the car until December for some big events to finish out the year. Then it went on to say nothing is set for next year. I took that as it could possibly be Zomer back in it next year or Sammy or anyone.

Look at Zomer's respectable statistics over the past 2 seasons (better yet - his whole racing career) and also the timing as to when the BWW #82 410 car all of a sudden mysteriously started having an "off season".  Is there a reason?  Maybe that "dream" has been in the making longer than anyone really knows!?  Maybe there's a reason why the crew chief all of a sudden blows up at his driver/family for no apparent reason at BMS!? Maybe there's a reason the fan's commented, "What are you yelling at him for?  He's the best driver you've ever had!"  Maybe there's a reason why the "team" consisted only of Zomer & Crew Chief towards the end of the season!? Maybe there's a reason why so many drivers have been in and out of this car over the years!?  Thinking that a respectable Zomer put up with more than any other driver was willing to tolerate!  Sad thing is that he may have been the calm to the storm of this race team!  AND to think of the potential future success that he would have brought to this team if they only would have built on it rather than settle for the "dream" of having a veteran driver for short term.

Wishing Sammy the best in his new venture.  And to Dusty Zomer - "Chin Up - Bigger & Brighter Racing Career Ahead!"

Sammy brings more attention to the car and more attention to the sponsor. Pretty simple marketing. Maybe Zomer will be back next year or maybe not.

All true but an ending like this was inevitable.  He really made more of this ride than anyone could have expected considering the cars history.

Sammy brings more negative attention than most  driver choices and if anyone can bring karma to this crew chief and if the owner really really likes Sammy I'd guess the crew chief will be next to go.

Unfortunately there aren't enough cars for the number of deserving drivers.

Sammy still has wins ubder his belt He still on his Game!!

Would love to see him run the NSL think he would be an asset to the league and it kind of seems the place to be if you were the Man back in the day. Almost like where the retirees go. #Stillwinning
