That sucks. I don't think I have ever paid more than $35 for a reserved seat for a WoO show and $40 for a pit pass. Do the tracks determain how much the ticket price is?

I think I paid $50 when it was $50k to win. It's a joke of a price. I understand there are limited numbers of seats there, but come on...

For those that aren't aware, a literal "heads-up" for those sitting in the lower rows at Chico, please watch out for rocks! I know there isn't much you can do as rocks are almost impossible to see when they're flying through the air at 100mph but at least try to protect your kids if you're bringing them. I'm not trying to bash the track or discourage attendance for any reason, just looking out. I don't feel safe having my kids there unless I can get us in the upper rows. Please be careful!!

Spencer outlaw show next friday is $39 under the big grandstand and $36 for the bleachers with no roof If I read correctly.   Used to

be $30 & $25.  Then is was $35 and $30.  Now it's $39 and $36.    But I guess since the purse has gone up it makes sense.  Oh wait.....the purse has been the same forever.  :-)

I thought it still paid $50,000 to win?  What is it now and when did that change?

Not to mention the 9 or 6 dollar gate admission to the fair depending on your arrival time.

I have seen nothing to suggest it's any more then a regular WoO show which is $6,000 for a prelim night and $10,000 for the finale, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe they've done away with prelim purse being lower, not sure.

It's 8k to win on Friday and 12k to win Satruday if it follows the previous few years.

Isn't it just really two WOO Shows rather than what it use to be with Qualifying nights. Back when there were lots of top notch entries, kind of a scaled down Knoxville Nationals type of format. Really no different that going to two nights at say Tulare. In reality the GOLD CUP has been gone for years and they just use the name.

I was sitting with my kids at the Fair Race on Memorial weekend and I could see the rocks and mud chunks lobbing up in the air and was trying to bat them down so they wouldn't hit my kids. Then the poor gal directly in front of us took a rock to the skull that knocked her over, when I saw blood trickling down her head I took my boys and left. Scared the sheet out of me. I only make Chico once or twice a year but every time I go there, the medics are hauling at least one person out that was hit with a rock. Seems worse when it's dry. How was it last night?

from what i understand the high prices may be attributed to the "cost of the  woo fee" they charge to put on the show.

Exactly why I don't go to Chico anymore.
