I was told that the owner has a lot of business ventures in Australia that take up a lot more of his time (Rail lines, Health care). Being soo successful over there, he's more focused on making real money and that the American side of things and the race team had essentially become a distraction and a hastle. Therefore the decision was made to close things up for those purposes

I wonder if the shop they worked out of belonged to the car owner?

Does that mean Keneric Healthcare in the USA closes it's doors too? offices in Texas I believe
I believe the shop is owned by Keneric Racing as well, guess that will be on the market soon (allthough they were the only interest when it was for sale the last time as I recall).
Too bad for Kerry, Tyler and the crew. But, that means quality crew chief, crew guys and driver all available for those teams looking to make a change for 2017.

Kerry was a threat to win every race he was entered in. He has done very well. We will probably never know all the reasons, but I expect money spent vs end rewards for owner had alot to do with it. It plain cost to much to run a top team today. If an owner can not be at tracks and enjoy the racing, why own a team?

I guess their decision to run a pick-and-choose schedule this year makes a lot more sense now.

This is purely speculation, but It seems crazy that they would plaster Keneric Healthcare on the side of the car this year at Nationals if they were planning on shutting it down. My guess would be it's just the race team.

It's kinda funny, I just asked him on Friday at his souvenir trailer if he missed running the WoO schedule? He said no! Stating that running for points every night is stressful, and doesn't miss that part of it. To bad it ended like this! Wish him and all involved good luck.

Let's start the guessing/hoping right now. Madsen and Motter team up for 2017! Who wouldn't want to see that?

just responding to another poster's speculation that the business ventures in America were a distraction and that they were concentrating on Australia business ventures.
I would think that Keneric Healthcare in the states makes good money (most Healthcare does).

I don't know in terms of the U.S Health Care...but I do know that in terms of the race team, it had become a distraction to some sorts. He's focused on making real money and quite honestly, race teams don;t typically make too much if anything. So to kind of keep up with the success, he wanted out at least in the states.

Who wouldnt as t to see that? I'll venture a guess. Dave Blaney wouldn't care much for that.

I am not sure to the reason for this team breaking up but I am sure its due to the cost factors in racing 410's .Again finding ways to cut costs is overdue .

As long as they're racing and having fun I'm not going to insult anybody. My money isn't on the line and if I was paying their bills the 71m would be a Pure Stock.
