Speedway’s Inc. Announces Exciting Balance of 2016 Schedule!
 
 
Park City, Kansas – August 8, 2016 - Officials with the Park City, Kansas based Speedway’s Incorporated have released the balance of the 2016 race season schedule with events slated at their home track of 81 Speedway and special events at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson and Salina Speedway in Salina, Kansas.
 
Regular 81 Speedway weekly race action featuring the tracks sprint car, modified, AAA modified, rookie modified, street stocks, thumper, hornets and mod-lites dot the Saturday night schedule from August 6 until the final regular season point show on Friday night, September 30 and Saturday night, October 1. The fourth annual “Freedom Tour” featuring the USAC Southwest 360-ci non-wing sprint car tour and the POWERi West midgets will take place on Friday night, August 19 and will be the first night of the tracks Wix Filters/Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts weekend. The Wix Filters/Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts weekend will conclude on Saturday night (August 20) featuring the tracks weekly divisions of modified, AAA modified, rookie modified thumpers and
cruisers.
 
That weekends racing action will conclude on Sunday night, August 21, featuring the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) “Chase for the Casey’s Cup.” Also in competition will be an official point race for the NCRA mod-lite division.
 
A huge double-header Labor Day weekend of racing is the next special event at 81 Speedway and it all begins on Saturday night, September 3, with “Steve King Foundation Night” featuring all four NCRA divisions of sprint cars, modifieds, late models and mod-lites. On Sunday night the tracks weekly divisions of modified, AAA modified, rookie modified, street stocks, thumpers and hornets.
 
On Monday night, September 12, the Speedway In. crew will head to the famed Kansas State Fairgrounds for a special demolition derby.
 
The NCRA late models will highlight the Saturday night, September 24, race card at 81 Speedway where rookie modified, thumpers, hornets, mod-lite and cruisers divisions will also be in action.
 
One week after the checkered flag waves on the regular season 81 Speedway point races, the tracks annual “Fall Classic will take place on Saturday night, October 8. That night will see the final 2016 appearance at the speedway featuring the NCRA sprint, modified, late model and mod-lite divisions.
 
One week later (October 9) the track will be hosting the thumper and cruisers as they partake in their own “Fall Classic.”
 
The whole Speedway’s Inc. crew will load up and head to the Salina Speedway (KS) on Saturday night, October 22, and will be hosting the season finale for all four NCRA divisions; sprint car, modified, late model and mod-lite. If the past finales are any indication, there may not be a clear cut champion in any of those divisions until the final checkered flag falls.
 
In a huge three-day event that was just announced last week, the USMTS will close out the 2016 season at 81 Speedway with the biggest modified purse in the tracks history on Thursday – Saturday night, November 3-5. All the exciting details on this huge weekend of big-time modified racing will be announced within the next couple of weeks.
