Yeah,

The Outlaws are really putting the pressure on Calistoga when they are running in Wisconson.

I was a little disappointed in the car count but I wasn't expecting anything over 18 to begin with. With temps in the upper 90's they finally found the keys to the water truck in time to save the feature from a chuga chuga choo choo around the bottom. Decent race overall, I give it a B-. After passing 5 cars in the first 4 laps, Cory Elliason made only one tiny mistake on a restart and it cost him a sure win. I feel his pain but he'll get one soon. If anyone needs to fill a seat, he's your guy. Having said that, please don't take him out of California, we need all of them.

The pitty was the keys for the water truck were lost to begin with. Track prep could have been better, but its the same for everyone, so get a setup and go. I too feel bady for Cory, he did an outstanding job. I think all the time racing in the valley has him dialed in for the dry tracks, and I think we are going to be seeing more and more of them in the future. As far as him needing an open seat, thats the last thing he needs. He has two cars already with his name on the wing, the 00 and the 5h. If anything, the open seat idea needs to go to somebody in a 360 looking to move up, and can't own their own stuff. It would be great to keep more drivers here, but I don't think the promoters really want that, if they did, the just have to make a financial commitment. I am sure plenty of drivers would stick around if we had a points fund, better payouts, contingency programs, etc, etc. Then you would have more tallent running locally and then you would have little reason to hit the road other that to face new challenges. We need to have TK, Dominic Scelzi, Carson Macedo back running as regulars. It was great to see Brent back on track again, another car that has been missing, and missed as far as car counts.

I was thinking more in terms of a seat outside of California but I get what you're saying. I agree on those guys, it's a shame that we've lost them but considering the purse, I can't hardly blame them.

I believe he said "the woo killed sprint car racing" and nothing about pressure.

The World of Outlaws killed sprint car racing.

Funny, I have been attending sprint car races for years.  IRA,MOWA, Invaders, Knoxville, All-Stars--and I have attended a ton of W.O.O. shows over the years and just one this last Saturday night in Beaver Dam, WI.  Will be heading to Rockford on Wednesday night.  I have no complaints--nothing.  No complaints about car counts--at ANY show I have attended.  No complaints about the speed of the show, the track prep, or anything the sanctioning body or track have done to piss me off.  I paid $116 for tickets and pit passes for myself, son and father.  I was happy to pay the ticket price instead of bitch because the purse is too low.  I even witnessed the dreaded new W.O.O qualifying format and had no issues with it.  I don't get it.  Most of my complaining on this forum is about idiot fans that constantly bitch about a product that they keep pretending to love.  I get sick of pussys constantly complaining about favoritism given to this travelling "circus" or that travelling circus.  Get sick of people bitching about corporate sponsorship---while complaining that their local track gets no financial support.  Which do you want?  Get sick of hearing how there is not enough money to support the cost to run these 410 cars--and then bitch about the sanctioning body that consistently supports or sanctions the highest paying races.  You know what I would really like to talk about right now?  How about Bob Altman chimes in and tells us how gross a toilet seat was at the last show he was at?  That would be productive.

I'm going to the races Saturday night and if 20 cars show up and run a 11 minute conveyor belt for the A-main, it is most likely not the fault of anyone that threw the show together.  Do you really think that was their aim?

I can tell you this--the Beaver Dam along with the W.O.O. did a great job putting a great race track together on Saturday night.  The result of the race was exciting.   There was not a ton of passing but it would be a shame to blame them for the way the race shook out.  It was not for lack of preparation or effort.  Also Bob, the paper towel dispenser was empty half way through the night.  I thought about sending around a petition.

Everyone needs to get a life.  The W.O.O. has been around for a long time.  Look back at the "golden days" of the W.O.O and you will see that the product on the track right now is 10 times better than it was in the 80's.  10 times!

Man alcohol is a great thing.  Sorry for the rambling.  Let's all go see some racing and shut the F#%k up!!!!!!

I went to Subway today and the sign said $5.00 foot long, but I only wanted a 6" so that's what I got. They charged me $4.86. I can't beleive those assholes are selling $5.00 foot longs.

The word is Calistoga is done in 3 years max , so better attend them while you can and race there if it's on your bucket list , because this place is going to be 80 years of history and nothing more very soon.

Get up there while it's here.

Thank you Abreu family , and the Hunts for all you have done , and for the huge effort to keep her.

God speed.

I've been trying to keep up on the situtation but haven't been able to get any info lately. No offense but, I hope your full of it fumanchu, although you're likely not. What a shame this would be.

I add my thanks.
