Bob was there for the first weekly race at Knoxville Raceway on June 4, 1954. He gives us an account of that night and what racing was like at Knoxville 62 years ago. www.OpenWheel101.com

Nice look back Bob. It is almost a carbon copy of my first race at Husets in May of 1954. Which proves we are both a couple of old bastards!!!!

The first feature winner at Huset's was Paul Stogsdill of Wagner. Eight days later he won the first feature at Soo Speedway.
A year later, he won the first feature at Watertown.
In 1971, he won the first feature at Wildcat Speedway in Corsica.
There's still a few tracks left out there I haven't checked out yet.
