NCRA/NSL Sprints Ready for Holiday Weekend Double-Header!
 
 
Park City, Kansas – May 23, 2016 - Current series point leader Don Droud, Jr. will lead the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products/gomuddy.com National Sprint League 360-ci sprint car series into a huge Memorial Weekend double-header this Friday and Saturday night.
 
It all kicks off with the tours only 2016 scheduled appearance at Salina Speedway in Salina, Kansas on Friday night (May 27). From there the “winged warriors” will head south to 81 Speedway in Park City for their third appearance of the season.
 
Droud comes into this holiday weekend having won two feature victories in a row and holds a 60 - point lead over six-time and defending series champion C.J. Johnson. Former tour champion Jeremy Campbell currently sits third in the standings while Ray Seeman and Forrest Southerland the top five in the current standings.
 
Sixth through tenth include Jeff Stasa, Jon Freeman, Tony Bruce, Jr., Danny Wood and Taylor Velasquez.
Droud’s two victories came at 81 Speedway on April 16 and Dodge City Raceway Park on May 7, the last time the tour hit the track.
 
Derek Hager picked up the $10,000 paycheck and the season opener at 81 Speedway as part of the tracks annual “Park City Cup/Air Capital Shootout.”
 
Friday night gates at Salina Speedway open at 5:00 PM with race time scheduled for 8:00 PM. Grandstand admission prices are $15 for adults; while ages 13 and under get in free. For more track information check out the tracks official website www.racesalinaspeedway.com or call (785) 292-9220.
 
Gates at 81 Speedway will open at 5:00 PM on Saturday with race time slated for 7:00 PM. Grandstand admission prices are $15 for adults; children 6-10 just $5 while kid ages five and under will be admitted free. 81 Speedway is located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then 0.7 mile west on 77th street in Park City.
