A news item in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin by Louis Brewster on Friday May 6th said Irwindale Speedway will continue to race with NASCAR oval track and drag racing until the end of the year, when the track will close and be torn down and developed into an outlet mall. The track had been scheduled to close in July but an extra 4 months of racing have been granted, then its over. The last 18 years have been a blast.

I hope the King of the Wing sprinters will return again this November.....I wonder if the stands, the suites and all will be bought and used later for a new track like Irwindale or Perris.
