Now 2 HUGE 410 events, Friday 10,000 to win show at Jackson. Saturday 27.000+ to win show at Badlands only 90 miles away. Make plans now to make the trip to the Midwest for this epic weekend of 410 action.

You have to admit that the purse structure for these 2 shows is unlike anything ever seen outside of the KNoxville Nationals, Kings Royal and National Open. It is unbelievable how these 2 tracks are pumping out the money to the racers. You have to imagine that racers like Kerry Madsen, and other drivers have to be looking at this and making the tow. Even drivers from places like Washington and Texas could make this weekend work at these prices. And there is a 13000 360 show on Sunday at Badlands to round out the weekend as well. Anybody know of anyone else that is coming in from out of town? Figure there must be close to 40 cars for both shows.

Payouts are very good. But I never like a purse where a guy can start 24th and pass a bunch of cars to finish 11th and get the same money he would have got for taking the green and pulling off the track and getting paid for 24th. Prefer the Jackson purse that at least pays a little more for advancing a few spots.

Well I don't like a race where the winner gets paid less as the third place car at another race track the next night.
You see we can sit here and pick at things all day or we can say what a good deal we having going for us here in the region.

Really? You pass 11 cars an get the same as you passed 0 His argument makes perfect sense.
However, Not a lot of racing still paying 5k for sixth place.

Well I think the car counts will dictate if the RACERS like the format.

Badlands pays close to double what Jackson is but 24th at BMS gets over $100 less than 24th at Jackson.
I am happy BMW is putting up big money. Just never liked top heavy payouts.

Don't forget $1.50 a mile tow money up to $400. So if you tow more then 66 miles you'll make up that $100. And the tow money is for everybody.

Let's move back to the origin of this post.
What a great weekend for racing in the upper Midwest! Kuddos to both venues for raising the bar for racing up here!
Let's quit comparing and complaining and embrace it. Change happens and it can be good! Common ground is we all love the sport and are very passionate about it. For the first time in years the racers are excited, so should we be.
Time to move on to who chopped who with that "wicked"/ "terrible" slide job!

The "terrible slide job" aka "The Sammy"???
I believe Brennan (Sammy) tried to put a slider on Knoxville and the NSL but missed it by a mile and managed to do damage to all 3.
Oh what could have been if he had just stayed racing on Sunday night. He didn't think he could get a crowd on Sunday night so moved to Saturday night and then announced that he was going to have "family" night on Sunday night. I would assume he's not planning on getting much of a crowd on Sunday night since he had to move to Saturday night to get a crowd.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I would think Sunday night would be a bad night for "family" night, but maybe not in Chucky's head though.
The sensible thing would have been to have "family" night with 360's and 5 classes of crap on Saturday night. Keep Sunday night for the 410's and the Late Model Stock car class. Could have had a big field of sprint cars both nights with the purses he's paying and a bunch of NSL races to top it off. But to heck with sensible.

Thanks Glen. 30 cars on the big half mile should provide for one heck of a show. Sucks I'm going to have to miss it with the date change. From all the pics I've viewed on-line they've really upgraded that place. Wanted to see it in person but I'll settle for PPV. Cheaper beer I guess..
