I'm looking to buy a pair of the best quality stadium seats that I can find. Most that I see seem to last only about one or two years. My home track (Port Royal) has seat backs but I want something I can use when I travel to Williams Grove, Lincoln, or Path Valley. I'd perfer to buy them "in person" thus locallay so that I can see thje quality of their construction. Too many are made of thin walled round tubing with holes drilled though them for rivets that quickly pull through. I do want then to have the legs that "catch" the underside of the front of the wooden seats (well except for Lincoln). So what are you opinions please?

I hate those things in front of me at the most tracks, just not enough room. I remember the time I accidently spilled my beer all over the one in front of me.

Nothing more obnxious than thbuyose ducking things...except perhaps the people that buy them and screw the people who are displaced by it

It is amazing how ignorant people can be bringing those ridiculus seats into the stands. ALL stadium seats should be banned at every track.

The ones we purchase to sell are normally $60-70 and seem pretty sturdy. However unless you're sitting in the grandstands that's not packed and plenty of other room around, I recommend not using them. I'm not sure how large you are or how much you take care of things but they do make wider ones......
If anyone has been sitting at the Front Row Challenge before and know how tight that seating already is, to have one of these plop down in front of you is maddening. Yes they are more comfortable than most grandstand seating but if it's packed it makes you more comfortable and then every single person behind you & beside you uncomfortable.

I try to sit in an aisle seat or at the top of an aisle. I am tall and have a bad back and my legs cramp up when I can't stretch them out. I would NEVER even think of inconviencing the guy or gal behind me with one of those. I would just suck it up. I have been inconvienced by these things and I just think it is selfish to use one. Sit like everyone else, you are not special. Leave it at home....

All tracks should. Most of the people are fat like me and they land in your lap. Wouldn't own one. Courtesy to your fellow fans.

As seems to be the concensus these types of chairs are typically frowned upon by fellow track patrons (for good reason). A lot of tracks actually do have rules against chairs with "seat backs." Whether said rules are enforced is another issue. If you are absolutely gonna use one (due to medical issues, etc.) sit in the upper corner of the stands with no one behind you.

I use this one at Lincoln on the concrete. Keeps my arse off the concrete and is well made. Good back.
Has the bar for bleacher seating. I have used on wooden bleachers at Susky with no problem. Aluminum bleachers are narrow so I don't know if it hangs over or not. Probably does, so as mentioned above the natives might get restless.

I understand everyone's concerns about the amount of space that stadium seats occupy and am always careful as to the space my "arse" occupies. I don't think either is an issue at most Williams Grove or Selinsgrove events - at least not in recent years. I've seen customers occupying at least twice the individual seat due to coolers/blankets/food/etc just to keep others from sitting too close. So - let's agree that the are some situations such as the bigger shows where they are not appropriate. However, I think you might prefer me to be sitting in a staduim seat in front of you rather than standing and totally blocking your view because of back soreness.
Can we now please get back to my original question? For those of you that have purrchased staduim seats; which did you like the best? Which are the best quaility?
Puckfly - I like the one you suggested. Looks solid and also doesn't look too wide......

18" is not near enough room to for many to sit comfortably. I'm 6'1" about 225. My rear end takes up the entire 18". I have to hold my legs together to stay within 18". I'm not nearly the biggest guy, or gal, out there. We buy an extra seat at the nationals just to have enough room to sit and not be pressing against a stranger. Unfortunately not so many are willing to spend extra money to do that. It's like parking spaces. They're not big enough either.

I don't think the width of the seat is in question, I think it is moreso the jackwad that is in front of me taking up all my leg space with his contraption. If the person likes to sit on his thighs, you can subtly stick your knees where he can't slide back, but those seats? No. Just personal preference. I am positive you won't be getting your seat in my way, so have at it....

I had no idea so many people hated those things! I've seen plenty at the Grove & never heard anyone complain.... who said Posse fans aren't polite?
Back to original question, I bought about 4 until I found one I liked, think it came from Target
But now I don't know....

I loved mine, don't get to use it anymore. My arse easily fits the 18 inches, but there have been times when I barely got 6 inches because of "oversized" folks in the row. Chair came in handy so I was guarenteed my space I payed for.
