Even though the Sorcerer's over-powered Chain Lightning skill was needed prior to the Server Slam beta, Diablo IV's Sorcerer still has the Enchantment mechanic that gives it a strong edge over other classes. With the Necromancer acting as the only real competition to the power of the Sorcerer, the title of the most popular class at launch is either up for grabs.
